With the INA-W910, Alpine confirms themselves as thought leaders in the market (it may be considered bad taste to refer to them as pioneer’s…) by being the first manufacturer to introduce several features.

Awesome audio

It is in the audio department where Alpine have stepped up and sought to improve their offering. Your INA W910 is the first 2-DIN Alpine unit to come with HD Radio built into the unit,  so you don’t need to stuff around trying to buy and then fit an HD Radio adapter. The difference between analog and HD radio is quite noticable so if you like static free, CD quality type broadcasts that do not require a subscription then you will love this feature of the INA W910. iTunes tagging is also available so that you can tag songs you hear for later purchase at the iTunes store.

SiriusXM Satellite Radio service is available on your INA-W910, utilizing the brand new SXV100 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit (sold separately, SiriusXM subscription required). Alpine is the first manufacturer to offer head units that connect to the SXV100, and your INA-W910 is the first 2-DIN system with this compatibility. Installation of the SXV100 is very easy and it is only the size of a pack of cards so won’t get in the way too much. Once installed you can enjoy all the benefits of SiriusXM such as being able to pause, rewind and fast forward up to 30 minutes live content as well as their trademark SongAlert, ArtistAlert and GameAlert.

As if that was not enough to listen to, your Alpine INA W910 can control the Pandora app from an iPhone which opens up even more listening options. Dedicated soft keys replicate the iconic Up/Down Thumbs rating feature and new stations can be created based upon a particular song or artist. All changes made via the INA-W910 are saved to your primary Pandora account.

When you take all this and add the fact that the system can be easily integrated with iPhones and iPods then you have a vast array of listening options to keep you happy whilst you cruise along in your vehicle.

Alpine has a legacy of superior sound quality and they continue this here with their MediaXpander technology which remedies the lossy nature of compressed digital music by restoring the richer playback which is more true to the original recording. This means you can enjoy the songs the way the artist intended you to. And if you appreciate the finer points of sound then you will adore the 7 band EQ system that allows you to produce the tone you are after. Some specs for the audio component are:

Fast and Accurate Navigation

If there is one aspect of the INA-W900BT that Alpine users loved the most it was that the system booted up really fast and that the GPS Navigation loaded extremely fast. Your INA-W910 carries this legacy forward. The speed at which you can move from menu to menu makes you aware you are dealing with the very latest of technology. Get vocal directions to one of six million NAVTEQ Premium points of interest and be assured in that you will have included with this unit a lifetime traffic service via NAVTEQ RDS. You also benefit from automatic rerouting and traffic incident lists within many places in the U.S. and Canada. The GuideView Window is a picture-in-picture window that displays critical information like next maneuver or speed limit of current street. Drivers simply need to tap the GuideView window to get the unit to vocally repeat the last driving prompt. A summary of some of the Navigation specifications follows:

So many more features in your Alpine INA-W910

The A/V Navigation features are impressive and yet there are many more features to this head unit that makes will make you love it. Important features like being able to connect your rear vision camera to the system to simple preferences such as background color, this system has it. Heck, it even updates the time showing on the unit when you change time zones so you don’t have to. Another feature that I found extremely useful in this head unit is that key buttons have been made into hard buttons that you can push at the base of the unit and you finger is supported by a small lip at the base so you don’t need to take your eyes of the road. All of these features combined led me to conclude that this was an excellent head unit and you will be singing it’s praises by the time you have had a couple of journeys with it in your car or truck.
